What our name means

Like a Full Curl Ram, the best ranches embody nature reaching it’s full potential. Whether we’re talking big game, or we’re talking ranches, everything starts from the land – from the ground up.

We aim to be the very best ranch brokerage in the American West.

We prioritize quality, not quantity. We are about achieving highest & best use, in every deal.

  • For buyers, we help maximize their lifestyle and investment goals.
  • For sellers, we employ a rigorous onboarding process that enables us to fully align interests and to prepare assets to be properly marketed.
  • We operate in complete contrast to ranch brokerages who seek volume over value, who look to promote themselves over their listings, who keep you emotionally engaged in deals with just enough information to get you to close, who look to be quick to commissions and not long on consulting.

Our Values

  1. Integrity
  2. Authenticity
  3. Resiliency
  4. Transparency
  5. Precision
  6. Conservation

Our Vision

For buyers, we aim to be your investment advisor, not a sales person. For sellers, we provide the best possible chance of maximizing value.

For both, we take care of the details so you don’t have to. Not a stone is left unturned, and we highlight the bad, not just the good.

Our marketing recipe is tailored to each property: right people, right places.

Our Mission

By providing M&A-level due diligence, professional advisory, and best-in-class marketing for a limited number of clients, FCR provides an unparalleled ranch realty service to both buyers and sellers. As a result, you can enjoy the process of investing, or divesting, of your assets while protecting your legacy.

Our Leadership

Reese Lovell
Owner, Broker – Full Curl Ranches

Reese Lovell has often been told he doesn’t look like your typical ranch broker—and he’s fine with that. Because he’s not. While the industry leans on image, legacy, and the way it’s always been done, Reese built his career by asking better questions: Why? Is there a better way? He’s not in this for ego, volume, or commissions. He’s in it to serve, consult, and truly steward the land—and the people who own it.

Reese’s journey began between the Ozark Mountains and the banks of the Arkansas River, where his passion for the outdoors first took shape. That early love led to one of the youngest-ever wildlife biology internships with the U.S. Forest Service through Arkansas Tech University. But it was Colorado that captured his heart. A few family trips turned into a life calling, and in 2014, he made the move west.

Since then, Reese has become a trusted name in Western Colorado ranch real estate, known not for flash, but for follow-through. His reputation has been built on thinking outside of the box, work ethic, honesty, and a genuine commitment to doing right by his clients. While many brokerages chase scale, keep clients emotionally engaged just enough to get the deal done, or promote themselves over the listings they represent, Reese has taken the opposite approach. With Full Curl Ranches, he’s created a high-integrity firm that values people over transactions and legacy over leverage.

With a decade of experience and hundreds of millions in transactions, Reese brings both boots-on-the-ground know-how and big-picture strategy to every deal, from complex investment portfolios to once-in-a-lifetime legacy ranches. His clients often end up calling him their lifelong ranch advisor and friend. That’s because Reese doesn’t just look at dirt and deeded acres—he sees what the land means to people.

Reese and his wife, Alli, are living ranch life in Western Colorado. Together, they own and operate South Rim Ranch, a guest property and active investment holding, along with a growing portfolio of land across the region with his partnership with Everbranch Capitol Group. They’re deeply rooted in the ranching community outside Montrose, where they’re known for their integrity, humility, and a deep respect for the land. When they’re not working, you’ll find them exploring wild places with their dog, Watson. Reese and Alli serve in their local church and are active in global missions throughout Honduras, Africa, the Philippines, and the Amazon. Reese has also helped shape the industry from within—having served on the Future Leaders Committee of the National Realtors Land Institute, the board of the Colorado Chapter, and as an ambassador for the Land Broker Co-op. He’s a proud supporter of conservation groups like the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Mule Deer Foundation, and Ducks Unlimited.

At the end of the day, Reese doesn’t just sell ranches—he redefines how it’s done. He’s living proof that making others the priority has nothing to do with appearances and everything to do with putting others above yourself.

Here are all the reasons you shouldn’t hire Reese Lovell to represent your best interests in large property transactions: He wasn’t born and raised in the West. He doesn’t come from a multi-generational ranching family. He lacks an agricultural degree, and his father wasn’t an outfitter with a ready-made book of leads. Real estate wasn’t handed to him by family legacy, and his last name doesn’t open industry doors.

Reese didn’t inherit this career—he chose it. He didn’t stumble into it—he showed up. He wasn’t born into it—he sacrificed for it. He’s not the most qualified on paper, nor the most educated or experienced. But what sets Reese apart is exactly what disqualifies him in the eyes of convention: an unrelenting work ethic, a refusal to accept limitations, and a commitment to challenging the status quo. He doesn’t do things the easy way—he does them the right way.

Mianna Wick Racing
strategic partner · professional racing team

Mianna Wick is a professional racing driver whose career has been built around speed, precision, competition, and the relentless pursuit of performance. Through Mianna Wick Racing, she has established herself in the motorsports world while continuing to pursue opportunities at increasingly competitive levels of racing.

Full Curl Ranches is honored to come alongside Mianna and her team as a sponsor and support the next chapter of that journey.

On the surface, professional motorsports and ranch real estate may seem like two very different worlds. Look a little closer, and the connection becomes clear. The people surrounding motorsports are entrepreneurs, business owners, investors, collectors, executives, athletes, and families who value exceptional experiences and exceptional assets. Many are precisely the kind of people who could become the next generation of Western ranch owners — yet they are rarely reached by traditional ranch brokerage marketing. That’s an opportunity we believe our industry has largely overlooked.

Ranch brokerage has historically concentrated its marketing within a familiar world of hunting, fishing, agriculture, and the traditional Western lifestyle. Those communities remain an important part of Full Curl Ranches, but they are not the entirety of today’s ranch market.

Through our sponsorship of Mianna Wick Racing, Full Curl Ranches is entering another arena where performance, ambition, lifestyle, and significant wealth naturally intersect. We plan to attend select races and motorsports events alongside the team — not simply as spectators, but to build relationships, expand our network, and introduce the Full Curl Ranches brand to an entirely new audience. For our clients, that reach matters. Every relationship we build outside the traditional ranch-real-estate ecosystem creates another opportunity to put our clients and their properties in front of people other brokerages may never reach.

Supporting Mianna is something we’re genuinely proud of. It is also representative of how we believe a next-generation ranch brokerage should operate: go where others aren’t, build relationships beyond the obvious, and continually expand the audience for Western land. We’re proud to have Mianna Wick Racing as part of the Full Curl Ranches network and excited to see where the road — and the track — takes us next.

Stryvint
strategic partner · intelligence & risk advisory

Stryvint is an intelligence and strategic risk advisory firm built by analysts and operators from the intelligence community and military. They work to a single standard: decisions, not reports. Their posture is low-visibility by design – exactly what’s required when the cost of being wrong is real.

For a select group of Full Curl Ranches clients, owning a ranch is about more than land. It’s about privacy, legacy, and resilience. These clients require non-disclosure jurisdictions where transactions and ownership stay off public record, properties capable of self-sustaining operations if the ‘lights go out’, and complete confidence through both acquisition and disposition.

Through our partnership with Styvint, we can deliver threat analysis on prospective ranches, professional security consulting on infrastructure and location, and the discretion to liquidate quietly to a like-minded buyer. This is a service we extend by invitation only.

RIGS Fly Shop & Guide Service
strategic partner · world class fly fishing

RIGS has spent over two decades defining fly fishing on Colorado’s Western Slope. Based in Ridgway, their team guides clients across the Gunnison, Uncompahgre, and Cimarron — delivering access to some of the most productive and scenic water in the region.

Built on consistency, local knowledge, and a deep respect for the resource, RIGS approaches each day on the river with the same mindset we bring to ranch representation: intentional, measured, and focused on quality over volume.

That alignment is why we’ve chosen RIGS as a Strategic Partner. Their clients, like ours, value experience over excess — and expect every detail to be handled at a high level.

For ranch owners with trout water, this partnership creates real marketing exposure. A property’s angling potential is often its most undersold asset — and the hardest to communicate through photos and listing copy alone.

The value of a fishing ranch doesn’t end at the fence line. With RIGS, we can show a buyer what ownership actually looks like — not only on the property itself, but across the rivers, public water, and backcountry that surround it. It’s an introduction to the broader place, and to some of the finest attributes the Rocky Mountain West has to offer.

For sellers, the value is in articulating the lifestyle a fishing ranch offers — not just the acreage, the structures, or the stretch of river, but the rhythm of a life built around them. RIGS helps us frame that story with credibility, and curate the marketing toward the buyers who genuinely share those values. The result is a more focused effort, a more qualified audience, and a process that respects both the property and the people considering it.

Native by Carlton
strategic partner · handcrafted game call maker

Native by Carlton has spent decades perfecting the art of elk and turkey calls from their workshop in Montrose, Colorado. Built on the legacy of Wayne Carlton — the man who introduced the diaphragm elk call and bugle tube to modern hunting — Native treats every call as a piece of craftsmanship, not just a product.

That commitment to quality over quantity is exactly why we’ve chosen them as a Strategic Partner. Their clients, like ours, expect the very best. They don’t compromise on detail, and neither do we. Native by Carlton is the legacy you can hear.

For ranch owners with serious big game habitat, the value of this partnership is reach — but the right kind of reach. Marketing a hunting ranch is rarely a volume problem; it’s a precision problem. The buyer who will pay what a great elk ranch is worth isn’t found through ‘broadcast marketing’. They’re found inside a community that already understands what they’re looking at.

Native by Carlton sits at the center of that community. Their name and customer base represent generations of hunters who recognize the difference between a property that simply holds animals and one that produces them — buyers who value seeing big, healthy wildlife on the ranch they ultimately call their own. Aligning with Native gives us a direct line into that audience, and a credible voice to speak to it.

“Quality is never an accident… it takes thousands of hours and repetitions, successes and failures. It’s an intense focus on the smallest of details, and the sincere and humble intention to create something of worth…”
— Marc Carlton

Ridgeline Suppressors
strategic partner · engineer-built suppressor maker

Ridgeline was founded in 2018 by Matias and Megan Roybal in Sandia Park, New Mexico. Matias is a mechanical engineer, and every step happens under their own roof — design, additive manufacturing, quality control, coating, and warranty support. That vertical integration is rare in the industry, and it comes at the direct expense of volume. It is a quality over quantity decision, made deliberately, and it is the same decision we’ve made about how we broker ranches.

What separates them is where they took that engineering. Matias approached Sandia National Laboratories on his own initiative and spent two years working alongside lab acoustics engineers on hearing protection for law enforcement and military personnel — work he pursued after his product was already selling well. As he put it, “We’re not chasing money. We have a good product, but a good engineer knows” it can always be better.

For a landowner, none of this is abstract. A suppressor is working equipment on a ranch: it protects the hearing of the owner and their guests, keeps the report from carrying across fence lines, and makes a rifle far easier for a young hunter to learn on.

Their clients are hunters, precision shooters, and LE/MIL professionals — the same people who buy legacy ranches. That overlap is the entire point. Buyers at this level are not found through broad advertising. They are found through trust, and trust is not something a seller can purchase in the ninety days after signing a listing agreement. A Strategic Partnership puts a property in front of a smaller, pre-qualified audience by way of a name they already respect, which is both more effective and materially less expensive than buying attention from strangers at scale. A seller’s marketing budget goes toward reaching the right buyer rather than the most people.

As Full Curl Ranches expands into New Mexico, we do so alongside a New Mexico company with deep standing in the state. Being introduced by someone who belongs somewhere is worth more than any advertisement we could place.
